Douglas K. Waddell

Doug currently serves as an Assistant to the Dean of Undergraduate
Studies and the Director of Advising First. In his position, he is
responsible for the overall management and supervision of all
Satellite Advisors at the Florida State University. Previously he
was the General Manager of day-to-day operations for the Center For
Academic Retention and Enhancement. He also is a co-adviser to the W.E.B.
DuBois Honor Society.
Doug is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. He obtained a B.S. in Social Sciences from the University of Nebraska, and a M.Ed. in Student Personnel Services from the University of South Carolina. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Sport Administration.
Before joining FSU, he served as an Athletic Academic Counselor for Football under former Head Coach Brad Scott and present Coach Lou Holtz at the University of South Carolina.
Doug has three children, Douglas Jr., Jennifer, and William.
