Nikki currently serves as an Associate Director with the Advising First program at Florida State University. She is in charge of the day-to-day management and coordination of all outreach activities and the Advising First locations housed in William Johnston Building, HCB Advising Center, Strozier Library, and a variety of "floating" locations across campus.

Nikki is originally from the mountains of North Carolina. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University, and her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Kentucky. In 2001, she completed her Ph.D. from the College of Human Sciences here at FSU, and began working as an advisor in the School of Social Work. She worked as an advisor in the School of Social Work for almost 2 years until she moved into the position of Associate Director with the Advising First program in the Summer of 2003. In addition to her primary career in academic affairs at FSU, Nikki is also still involved in the field of family therapy and teaches one class a semester as an Adjunct Professor at FSU.

Nikki and her husband, Damien, have lived in Tallahassee since 1997. They have two daughters…Kylie born in 2005 and Kalyn born in 2007
