ADVISING FIRST CENTER FOR COLLEGE LIFE COACHING
Kickoff (beginning of summer, fall and spring)
This is the formal introduction to coaching at Florida State University. Students will participate in activities/games to get to know their coach and other new Seminoles, and learn more about Florida State, Tallahassee, and themselves. Before the conclusion of the event, students will sign up for their first individual meeting.
SociaNole (beginning of summer and fall)
This is a great opportunity for new students to interact with other students in the coaching program. The Coaching Center will provide snacks and drinks while facilitating ice breakers, activities, and games that encourage students to make connections with other first year students. This programming provides a no stress, no pressure environment where students can enjoy fun and food while networking with those who are adjusting to campus life as well.
Team Coaching (on going)
Team coaching is the utilization of coaching in a group setting. Two College Life Coaches encourage discussion amongst a group of up to 15 students. The team setting allows students to share experiences, resources, and knowledge common to the freshman year experience. Benefits to team coaching include sharing experiences among peers, sharing insights into the FSU community (academic, social, and other), and provides a forum for socialization among students. The coach facilitators assure conversation continually addresses topics commonly discussed in individual coaching meetings.

It is completely free to all Florida State students and is an incredible opportunity to network, learn, and grow.
