Resources for Exploration

Prior to your appointment with an Exploratory advisor, please spend time completing exploring activities. While not an exhaustive list, here are a few ways to get started on self, major, and career exploration:

Self

Choosing a Major or Occupation Guide: a complete exploration guide from self to major to career exploration: http://www.career.fsu.edu/Resources/Career-Guides. Print the guide, complete pages 2-9, and bring it with you to your advising appointment.

Mymajors: (fsu.mymajors.com) is an on-line assessment that gathers your subject interests and previous successes, and matches these with specific FSU majors that correspond with your profile.

SIGI 3: (http://www.sigi3.org/login.asp?SQ=3101&SK=9198753083) is a self-assessment tool that helps students examine key motivators and match work-related values, interests, and skills to educational and career pathways. The password is “seminoles.”
