This event provides a complete picture of the freshman Exploratory experience. Students are made aware of the program requirements, expectations for engagement, and receive major selection materials. Exploratory students connect with their assigned academic advisor and also schedule their first Nole Call academic advising meeting.

PIZZA AND A MAJOR (FALL 2016 DATES — OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS)
This signature workshop series offers innovative and interactive programming to engage students in their exploration. Each week targets one of the three phases of discovery (self, major and career). Students fully participate in this fun learning opportunity, which always concludes with free pizza. Past activities have included Major Jeopardy, Career Scavenger Hunt, Pack Your Values, Speed Communicating, and Vision Boarding.

ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENT EXPO (SPRING 2018 DATE TBA – OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS
"I have a major, now what" is a question many students ask throughout their undergraduate experience. At the Academic Engagement Expo students not only have an opportunity to speak with a variety of different advisors about major options, but they will also be able to learn about experiential activities (minors, certificates, internships, etc.) to strengthen their marketability post-graduation.
CAREER PANELS (SPRING 2018 DATES TBA – OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS)
The series of career panels serve as a forum for students to learn about career opportunities in their chosen fields. These sessions will include a panel of faculty, students, and professionals from the community who will share general information, advice, and personal success stories about careers and opportunities in their chosen discipline. Panels include: creative arts, communication and information, social science and humanities, STEM, educating and helping, and business related.
MAJOR DECLARATION CELEBRATION (SPRING 2018 DATE TBA)
This event celebrates exploratory majors who have declared a major at some point during the current academic year.
